Description of key information

As no distinct pH-steps could be identified, the pK values were determined using numerical fitting, resulting in a pK1 = 7.8 and a pK2  = 6.5.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

6.5 g Olaflur (corresponding to approx. 0.018 mol mix of isomers) were dissolved in 200 ml water. The resulting pH value was 4.3. Then 45 ml of HCl 1M were added and a titration was carried out with NaOH. As no distinct pH-steps could be identified, the pK values were determined using numerical fitting. The best fit with experimental values was obtained with pK values pK1 = 7.8 and pK2 = 6.5.
