Test solutions

Vehicle:
no
Details on test solutions:
The test solutions were prepared in accordance to EU Method C2, Appendix V of Directive 79/831 EEC (4). The concentration of the stock solution was 500 mg/L. A dilution series from the stock soliution was done. 10 mL of the corresponding dilution was filled in each test vessel. The dilution water was prepared from tap water wich was filtered with 6 µm and subsequently filtered on an activated carbon filter to remove any remaining chlorine. The resulting dilution water has the following typical parameters:

hardness: 2.7 +/- 0.5 mol/L
Ca:Mg 4 to 1
Na:K 10 to 1
Conductivity 550 - 650 µS/cm
pH 7.7 to 8.3

The dilution water is aereated up to saturation and allowed to remain untouched for 24h before the start of the experimental part of the study.
