Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Compositional complexity of the substance makes experimental determination of a single dissociation value impossible. A combination of QSAR calculated and other reported values for substance constituents has therefore been used to determine a dissociation constant range applicable to the whole substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

pKa at 20°C:
15

Additional information

Based on QSAR modelling of the constituents of the substance, the pKa range of 14.7-15.8 is considered applicable for Glycol Ether Heavies.
