Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Only a screening level study is available for ready biodegradability (see IUCLID section 5.2.1). However, the result "the test item is not readily biodegradable under the test conditions" is considered as reliable, relevant and adequate for classification and labelling purposes.

Only a screening level study is available for short-term toxicity to fish (see IUCLID section 6.1.1). However, the approx. LC50 result (i.e. LC50 (96 h): 16.6 mg/L or at least its order of magnitude) is considered as relevant and adequate for classification and labelling purposes.

Based on the available information (i.e. the best available data according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, Annex I, Part 4, 4.1.1.2.2) the substance meets the criteria for classification for "environmental hazards, hazardous to the aquatic environment" under Regulation (EC) 1272/2008, Annex I, Part 4, 4.1.2.6 as Category Chronic 3, H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

There is no evidence available concerning the properties of the substance and its predicted or observed environmental fate and behaviour indicate that it may present a danger to the structure and/or the functioning of the stratospheric ozone layer.

Based on the available information the substance does not meet the criteria for classification as "hazardous to the ozone layer" under Regulation (EC) 1272/2008, Annex I, Part 5, 5.1.2.1.
