Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with generally accepted scientific standards and described in sufficient detail
Justification for type of information:
Data is from experimental study report
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: as menntioned below
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Redox titrations are based on a reduction-oxidation reaction between an oxidizing agent and a reducing agent. A potentiometer or a redox indicator is usually used to determine the endpoint of the titration. In permanganometry a slight faint persisting pink color signals the endpoint of the titration because of the color of the excess oxidizing agent potassium permanganate.
GLP compliance:
no

Sample tested:
other: not specified
Parameter:
other: not specified
Remarks on result:
other: result not specified
Remarks:
Not Determined (As End point of redox titration not obtained)
Interpretation of results:
other: no oxidising properties
Conclusions:
End point of redox titration not obtained for test chemical means substnace was observed to be non oxidising substance.
Executive summary:

During redox titration of test chemical, no end point was obtained. This suggest that test chemical has no oxidising property

Description of key information
