Preliminary Test

Different quantities of test item were weighed in triplicate (TABLE Below) and transferred into separate graduated test tubes and a preliminary estimation of solubility was made by adding buffer waters to the respective graduated test tubes at 20 ºC. The test item in all the test tube dissolved immediately as soon as a volume of 0.1 mL respective buffer water was added to the test tube. The result of the preliminary test was as described below:

Key: Y = Yes

Since the test item was highly soluble in all three graduated test tubes just after addition of 0.1 mL of respective buffer waters, the solubility of test item in buffer waters was recorded as > 10-2g/L and therefore "shake flask method" was adopted to determine the solubility of TYZOR ACtivate 422 inbuffer waters.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
 The solubility ofTYZOR ACtivate 422in all the buffer waters[viz. pH 5, 7 and 9],was > 1000 g/L at 20 °C.
Executive summary:

The solubility ofTYZOR ACtivate 422in all the buffer waters[viz. pH 5, 7 and 9],was > 1000 g/L           at 20 °C.
