Conclusion on classification

The substance is readily biodegradable with reliable acute toxicity data available, although the test substance is not toxic to aquatic organisms at the limit of solubility. A chronic NOEC from the algal study is available which resulted in a NOEC of 49.3 mg/l. The acute and chronic toxicity values exceed the thresholds (< 1 mg/l) for classification, although the low solubility means the test substance poses no hazard to aquatic life, and the substance is not classified for the environment.
