Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The fish bioconcentration test as as described in OECD Guideline No. 305 was replaced by a theoretical based evaluation using QSAR model prediction methods, because reaction product of oleyl alcohol with polyphosphoric acid is highly insoluble in water.

Evaluation of bioaccumulation potential

For substances that have exceptional properties (e.g. very low water solubility) and/or which consist of multiple constituents, test guidelines used to determine bioaccumulation, in the PBT/vPvB assessment may not be directly applicable. Instead specific assessment strategies may be warranted, such as QSAR based screening methods.

When using QSAR model prediction methods for identifying the bioaccumulation potential of theUVCB test substance “Reaction product of oleyl alcohol with polyphosphoric acid”, the substance wasconsidered to benon-bioaccumulative. All components of the UVCB substance “Reaction product of oleyl alcohol with polyphosphoric acid”had bioconcentration factors smaller than 2000 L/kg.
