Additional information

One study is available on the toxicity of Sorbitan, octanoate (2:3) (CAS No. 91844-53-0) to algae.

The key study conducted with Sorbitan, octanoate (2:3) (CAS No. 91844-53-0) was performed according to OECD Guideline 201 and GLP (Scheerbaum, 2012). The test organism Scenedesmus subspicatus was exposed to the test substance in a static system for 72 hours, at the nominal test concentrations of 1.0, 3.2, 10, 32 and 100 mg/L. The ErC50 and NOEC values were determined to be 46.5 mg/L and 3.2 mg/L, respectively.
