Additional information

The guideline study on Danio rerio reports an LC50 (96 h) of 1702 mg/L for sodium N-methyl taurinate. This result is supported by another guideline study on Leuciscus idus for N-methyltaurine, which reports an LC0 of >= 500 mg/L. Using ECOSAR, the lowest calculated LC50 for fish at 96 h is 440 g/L, which is higher than the experimentally determined LC50. Nevertheless, the estimation by calculation only provides an approximation and cannot replace empirical studies. Therefore, we adopt the LC50 (96 h) of 1702 mg/L for fish.
