Description of key information

In Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that long-term toxicity testing in fish shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the effects on fish. The substance showed no adverse effects in all acute test to aquatic species (fish, daphnia, algae). In addition, the substance is not classified at all. Thus, no chemical safety assessment is required. Further long-term testing would thus not improve the hazard assessment. Therefore and for animal welfare reasons a long-term toxicity testing in fish is not required.
