Description of key information

The adsorption potential of the test substance was determined in a study according to EPA guideline 163-1 (equilibrium batch method). The arithmetic mean Koc was determined to be 364 L/ kg based on the studied 5 soil types (Gilroy loam, Gilroy sediment, Keaton sandy loam, Briggs clay and German loamy sand) (Skinner et al. 1985).

The leaching behaviour of the test substance in six different soils (three BBA standard soils and three field soils) was investigated in a column leaching study according to BBA guidelines. It is concluded that the leaching potential of the test substance in agricultural soils is very low. The contamination of the groundwater is very unlikely to occur (Wisson 1988).
