Description of key information

The determination of the melting and boiling point of Ferric citrate monohydrate was performed via DSC (differential scanning calorimetry).

Three events were detected. All events are endothermic.

The results of the determination should be stated under these circumstances as followed:

The first event as dehydration range from 62.76 °C to 170.32 °C (335.91 K to 443.47 K)

The second event as melting range from 169.43 °C to 238.99 °C (442.58 K to 512.14K) with peak maximum of 198.28 °C (471.43 K) and 208.02 °C (481.17 K). An average of the two maximum values has been taken as the MP result for this substance.

The third event as chemical reaction as 342.78 °C (615.93 K)
