Administrative data

First-aid measures

- Following inhalation: Supply fresh air, seek medical advice in case of complaints.
- Following skin contact: Immediately wash skin with soap and copious volumes of water. If skin irritation continues, consult doctor.
- Following eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
- Following ingestion: Rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water. If symptoms persist, consult doctor.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: CO2, dry powder or water spray. Fight large fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire, the following can be released: Carbon monooxid (CO), Carbondioxide (CO2)
- Advice for fire fighter: Protective equipment: Use standard protection equipment for use in connection with chemical fires.
Additional information: Keep the containeers cool with water spray. If possible remove the containers from the danger zone. Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating gases and vapours.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, Protective equipment and emergency procedures: Avoid formation of dust. If necessary, use personal protection equipment to avoid inhalation, ingestion and skin contact in case of large spills.
- Environmental precautions: Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any watercourse. To be collected and disposed of as hazardous waste.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Collect mechanically into a suitable container for disposal. Avoid raising dust. Wash spill site thoroughly. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling: Prevent formation of dust. Avoid inhalation of dust. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation if dust is formed or use suitable respiratory protection. Avoid eye and skin contact. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of the work. Keep away from food and beverages.
- Information about fire and explosion protection: Keep ignition sources away. Dust can combine with air to form an explosive mixture.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Storage: Store in well-closed aluminium container protected from light in a cool dry place. Keep at temperatures between 2°C and 8°C.
