Description of key information
- The highest solubility was observed when Fusidic acid was shaken with n-butanol where the solubility was determined to be 250 g/L.
- Solubility in acetone and methanol incred with increasing temperature. At 20 °C the solubilities in these two solvents was determined to: 85 g/L and 75 g/L, respectively.
- In hexane < 0.05 g/L was disolved and in toluene 1.1 g/L was dissolved.
Fusidic acid (hemihydrate) was shaken with different solvents. Subsequently the suspensions were filtrated and the concentration of fusidic acid were determined by HPLC.
