Description of key information

In an acute contact toxicity study with the honey bee Apis mellifera, the contact LD50 of Flumetsulam was determined to be greater than 100 µg active ingredient/bee. There was some treatment related mortality at levels above 60 µg a.i./bee. The no-observed effect dosage was 36 µg a.i./bee.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Flumetsulam was tested for acute contact toxicity to the honey bee, Apis mellifera. The test was performed to the EPA OPP 141-1 guideline and to GLP standard, and was considered robust enough to be a key study.
