12.5 mg/L

Additional information

The study was performed to assess the effect of the test item on the growth of the green alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata.

Following a preliminaru range-finding test, the green alga was exposed to an aqueous solution of the test item at concentrations of 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50 and 100 mg/l (3 replicate flasks per concentration) for 72 hrs, under constant illumination and shaking at a temperature of 24 +/- 1°C.

Exposure of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata to the test item gave the following results:

EC50 Growth Rate = 45 mg/l (95% CL 39 -53 mg/l)

EC50 Yield = 25 mg/l (95% CL 22 -28 mg/l)

NOEC = 12.5 mg/l

LOEC = 25 mg/l
