Description of key information
Surface tension testing can be waived for substances in which no surface activity is expected based on a structural analysis and for substances that are not liquids at room temperature. No surface activity is expected for potassium allophonate and it is a solid at room temperature; therefore, surface tension testing is waived In accordance with Column 2 of Annex VII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006.

In accordance with Column 2 of Annex VII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, surface tension testing shall only be conducted if, based on structure, surface activity is expected or if surface activity is a desired property of the material. Surface activity is not expected for potassium allophonate; therefore, testing for this endpoint is waived.
In accordance with the REACH information requirements R.7A, R.7.1.6.4, the surface tension does not need to be determined for substances that are not a liquid at room temperature. As potassium allophonate is not a liquid at room temperature, testing for this endpoint is waived.
