Description of key information

From the water surface, the substance will rapidly evaporate into the atmosphere.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The key study is based on the measured data for water solubility (3.1 mg/L; BASF SE, 2012) and vapor pressure (1.5 hPa; BASF SE, 2012), a Henry's Law constant of 7.19 E+03 Pa*m³/mol was calculated by VP/WS.

Two supporting studies are additionally available: The experimental database of EPI Suite v.4.1 states a value of 2.38 Pa*m³/mol based on a higher vapor pressure of 1.6 hPa (@20°C: Riddick et al., 1986) and a higher water solubility of 100 mg/L (@ 20 °C; Riddick et al., 1986). The HLC calculated by bond method (HENRYWIN v.3.20) is 6.04 E+03.
