Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Any other information on results incl. tables

Two DSC measurements in aluminium crucibles with a hole showed an endothermal effect in the temperature range of 230 - 350 °C. The onset temperature (see Table below) was derived from the intersection of the tangent line with the highest slope of the endothermal peak with the baseline. No further endothermal or exothermal effects were observed up to the final temperature (500 °C). The mass loss after the DSC measurements amounted to 100 %; however both measurements showed a few residues indicating a decomposition (see also report M-754109-01-1 linked to chapter 4.14 Explosiveness of this IUCLID dossier). The results of the DSC measurements are summarized in Table below:

Ident No. Test item / mg Starting temp / °C Final test temp / °C Temp. range (endothermal) / °C Onset (boiling) /°C Crucible Observations after the measurement
39149 16.25 -80 500 230 - 350 290.72 Aluminium with a hole Few grey residues, Mass loss: 100 %
39154 17.92 25 500 240 - 340 294.59 Aluminium with a hole Few grey residues, Mass loss: 100 %

The test item had a boiling range at atmospheric pressure (1013.3 hPa) of 290 - 295 °C (possibly under decomposition).
