Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
Based on the results obtained from the study it is concluded that, 2-Phenylsuccinic Acid is not highly flammable, rather non-flammable.
Executive summary:

Preliminary screening test was performed for determination of flammability of the test item. The test item was formed into unbroken powder train about 250 mm long using a mould and the pile of test item was ignited in fume hood. The distance covered by the flame within 4 minutes after ignition along 200 mm of the powder train was recorded. In preliminary test, the test item charred and melted but did not propagate a distance of 200 mm of powder train within 4 minutes. Hence, the test item was not considered as flammable. As the test item was found to be non flammable in preliminary test, the burning rate test was not performed.

Based on the results obtained from the study it is concluded that, 2-Phenylsuccinic Acid is not highly flammable, rather non-flammable.
