The test material ignited with a small blue flame and extinguished within a maximum of 8 seconds after the burner had been removed. There was no smouldering combustion and the damage to the powder strip was approx. 10 mm.

As the test material does not burn or smoulder for more than 200 mm along the powder train within the 2 minute test period, the test material should not be classified as a flammable solid according Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria.
