Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Melting / freezing pt.:
1 066 - 1 285 °C

Any other information on results incl. tables

During the melting test of the scale sample was heated in Al2O3crucible using nitrogen atmosphere. The endothermic peaks in the curve are at the temperature ranges 1066 – 1071 °C, 1220 – 1232 °C and 1279 – 1285 °C. The first peak indicates melting of metallic copper and the second peak indicates melting of cuprite. Together with cuprite melting also some decomposition or evaporating occurs, because the mass of the sample starts to decrease.
