First-aid measures

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing becomes difficult, call a physician.

Skin Contact: Call a physician. Flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes.

Eye Contact: Call a physician. Assure adequate flushing by separating the eyelids with fingers. Flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes.

Ingestion: Call a physician. Wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious.

In any case seek medical advice and call the nearest poison center.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing Media: Carbon dioxide. Dry chemical powder. Appropriate foam.

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Accidental release measures

Wear respirator, chemical safety goggles, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves. Sweep up, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal. Avoid raising dust. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pick up is complete.

Handling and storage

Handle the substance under strictly controlled conditions according to Article 18(4) of REACH Regulation. Rigorous containment should be achieved.

Handling: Wear appropriate approved respirator, chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, other protective clothing. Mechanical exhaust required. Safety shower and eye-bath. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and doming. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Storage: Protect from light. Keep tightly closed.

Exposure controls / personal protection

The substance is used under strictly controlled conditions during its whole lifecycle as described under Article 18 (4) and Section 2.1 of the Guidance for Intermediates.

Effectiveness: The substance should be rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle and procedural and control technologies should be in place in order to minimise emissions and any resulting exposure as described under Article 18(4).

Personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used in cases of accidents and where waste is generated. The PPE may be also used as a good practice.

Stability and reactivity

Incompatibilities: None known.

Hazardous combustion or decomposition products: COx, NOx.
