OVERALL CONCLUSION

Based on the available data of the test for skin sensitizing properties of the constituents of the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6 -dichloronitrobenzene, especially considering the main constituent 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene, the reaction mixture has to be evaluated as skin sensitizing

Migrated from Short description of key information:
Based on the available data of the test for skin sensitizing properties of the constituents of the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6 -dichloronitrobenzene, especially considering the main constituent, the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6- dichloronitrobenzene has to be evaluated as skin sensitizing.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available data of the test for skin sensitizing properties of the constituents of the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6 -dichloronitrobenzene, especially considering the main constituent 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene, the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6- dichloronitrobenzene has to be allocated to Category 1 of skin sensitizing substances.

No subcategory (A or B) can be allocated to the the reaction mixture according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (GHS, 2.ATP) and the reaction mixture will be allocated to category 1 without sub-category. Based on the weak sensitising activity of 2,4 dichloronitrobenzene and 1,3 -dichlorobenzene (both allocated to Cat1B) only a weak sensitizing property of the reaction mixture

of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6 -dichloronitrobenzene is assumed

According to Regulation 67/548/EWG the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6 -dichloronitrobenzene has to be classified as Skin sensitizer and labelled with R43.
