OVERALL CONCUSION

Based on the available data on skin irritation of the components of the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6 -dichloronitrobenzene it can be assumed that the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6 -dichloronitrobenzene is not irritating to the skin or eys.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available data on skin irritation, the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6 -dichloronitrobenzene has to be allocated to category 2 (H314) of the skin irritating substances according to Regulation (EC)1272, 2008 (GHS). According to Regulation 67/548/EWG the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6 -dichloronitrobenzene has to be classified as irritant to the skin (R38).

Due to the available data on eye irritation, no classification/labelling is required for the reaction mixture of 2,4 -dichloronitrobenzene and 2,6 -dichloronitrobenzene.
