Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Expose to fresh air. Treat the symptoms.
Emergency measure - Eyes: In case of contact with the eyes wash immediately with
plenty of water and seek the medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: In case of contact with the skin wash immediately with
plenty of water and seek the medical advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: In case of ingestion rinse out the mouth quickly and give
large amount of water. Get medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: The compound is non-flammable.In case of fire use high
amount of water. Do not breathe the fumes and use the
protection apparatus.
Product arising from burning: The product if heated over 200 °C and in the presence of
oxigen, decomposes to give phosphine oxides and phosphin
amides.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Antigas mask with universal filter , autoprotection for
emergency.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: The compound is water soluble and therefore can be collected
using water and drying with humid sawdust.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid to put in contact with free flames or hot surfaces due
to possible thermal decomposition and subsequent formation
of fluorurates ( including F ) with different degree of
toxicity to respiratory system.
Storage: Use polithene drums ermetically closed. Do not leave
unattended contenitors with residual of the compound.
Put label on the contenitors which report the nature of the
product and its dangerous properties and the principal
measures of safety, emergency and first aid.

Danger other than fire: None
Chemical reaction with water: None
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: There are no possibility to recovery and / or recycling the
used susbstance since during the transformation process of
the preparations, the substance is thermically decomposed.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: The product is put into the market as an ingredient for a
fluoroelastomer at 0.5 % maximum and it is completely
incorporated in the fluoroelastomer.
For that reason there is no necessity to neutralize it due
to accidental leakages.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Applicable to the final formulate.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Applicable to the product as such and to the final formulate
if the apparatus is dotated of specific equipment for
pulling down.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: See previuos considerations
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: See previous considerations
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: See previous considerations
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: See previous considerations
