Additional information

In the Ames test no mutagenic effects were observed. In the in vivo bone marrow cytogenetic study in mice no chromosome aberration was observed.

According to the OECD SIDS document in several long-term studies the tumorigenic potential of linear alkylbenzene sulfonates was investigated not showing evidence of carcinogenicity.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available information, i.e. absence of a genotoxic potential, non-classification of calcium salt of linear alkyl benzenesulfonic acid is justified.
