Description of key information

The 96h-LC50 for carp (Cyprinus carpio) exposed to the test substance was 0.68 mg/L based on analytically confirmed nominal concentrations (95% confidence interval between 0.48 and 0.96 mg/L) and was already reached after 24 hours of exposure. The 48h EC50 for Daphnia magna exposed to the test substance was measured as 1.32 mg/L.

The 72h ErC50 (growth) for algae ( Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) exposed to the test substance was 0.265 mg/L based upon the measured geometric mean. Based on the observed EC10 (growth) of 0.088 mg/l long-term exposure to the test substance is toxic for algae.

Under the conditions of the Microbial Respiration Inhibition study, the test substance was not toxic to waste water bacteria (activated sludge) at a concentration of 3.0 mg/L (NOEC). The EC10 was calculated to be 3.7 mg/L (95% confidence interval: 2.6 - 5.4 mg/L) and the EC50 was 15 mg/L (95% confidence interval: 13 - 18 mg/L).
