Additional information

The substance is an UVCB and no information about the correlation between molecular weight and the structural formula of the test item are available, Water Accommodated Fractions (WAFs) were used to test effects at different effective loadings. The content of the water soluble fractions of the test item during the exposure period was verified by DOC determination.

6.1.1 Acute toxicity to fish: No toxic effects against fish were observed at the limit of water solubility under exposure conditions (96 h-LL50 > 100 mg/l). The results are expressed in terms of Lethal Loadings (LL).

6.1.3 Acute toxicity to daphnia: After 48 hrs an EL-50 of higher than 100 mg/l was measured. The result is expressed in terms of Effective Loadings (EL). No toxic effects against Daphnia were observed at a limit test concentration at the limit of water solubility under exposure conditions.

6.1.5 Toxicity to freshwater algae: An ErL50 of > 100 mg/L was determined and a NOEL[r] of 100 mg/L was calculated. The results are expressed in terms of Effective Loadings (EL). No toxic effects against algae were observed at the limit of water solubility under exposure conditions.

6.1.7 Toxicity to microorganisms: After three hours the test material showed 11.11 % respiration inhibition of activated sludge at the highest concentration of 1000 mg/L. An EC-50 value of higher than 1000 mg/l and EC-10 value of 856.5 mg/l was determined (by probit analysis).
