Additional information

The tested product Fyrolflex BDP (initial concentration = 100 mg/L) was exposed to the activated sludge in a closed-system oxygen consumption measuring apparatus. The biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) was measured over a 28-day period. After this period, the concentration of the dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and the residual test substance in the test bottles were measured. From the degradability results, based on BOD and residual test substance (final mean concentration of the product Fyrolflex BDP= 97.98 mg/L), it can be concluded that Fyrolflex BDP is not readily biodegradable and is not transformed under the conditions prescribed by the modified MITI test. Positive and negative controls were included, and no toxicity to the sludge was observed, and the reference substance was mineralized and fulfilled validity criteria.
