Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Acute tests evaluating the toxicity of 2-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-6-cyano-5-[bis(ethoxycarbonylmethyl)carbamoyloxy]-1 H-pyrrolo[1 ,2-b][1 ,2,4]triazole-7-carboxylic acid-2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methyl-cyclohexyl ester (UC-141) to aquatic organisms from three different trophic levels are available. The substance did not cause any adverse effects on fish survival (LC50 (96 h) > 0.015 mg/L, measured), aquatic invertebrates mobility (EC50 (48 h)> 0.019 mg/L, measured) or algal growth (EC50 (72 h) > 0.01 mg/L, measured). Also, no adverse effects were observed on the activity of activated sludge microorganisms after 30 minutes of exposure, leading to an EC50 > 100 mg/L (nominal). This result is supported by the results of the toxicity control in the biodegradation test (see IUCLID section 5.2.1) which showed that UC-141 is not inhibitory to aquatic microorganisms (> 25% biodegradation within 14 days).

Based on the available information, UC-141 is considered to be not acutely toxic to aquatic organisms up to the highest attainable concentrations in test media.
