Additional information

The results of the ready biodegradability study showed that 2-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-6-cyano-5-[bis(ethoxycarbonylmethyl)carbamoyloxy]-1 H-pyrrolo[1 ,2-b][1 ,2,4]triazole-7-carboxylic acid-2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methyl-cyclohexyl ester (UC-141) is not readily biodegradable (11% biodegradation after 28 days). No further data regarding biodegradation in water, sediment or soil systems are available. However, these are not part of the mandatory information requirements set in Annexes VII and VIII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. Furthermore, the environmental exposure assessment performed for this substance (see CSR attached to IUCLID section 13) shows that the Risk Characterization Ratios (i. e. PEC/PNEC ratio) in all environmental compartments are < 1 and therefore, under the current exposure conditions, UC-141 does not pose a risk to aquatic or terrestrial organisms. Hence, further simulation testing is not deemed necessary according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex XI, section 3.1.
