Executive summary:

The EC50 value of 4-fluoroaniline to algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata is 62.426 mg/L. Though short term toxicity values to aquatic species indicate that the chemical could be classified for aquatic toxicity, but since 4-fluoroaniline is readily biodegradable in water and also is very water soluble and given the large dilution possibility in the aquatic environment, it is concluded that 4-fluoroaniline shall not exhibit toxicity to the aquatic organisms and the aquatic environment.
