Additional information

There are no data available for the toxicity of registered substance to terrestrial organisms. However, further testing is not considered necessary because:

·        The substance is of low toxicity to aquatic organisms.

·        The iron and citric acid constituents of the substance are naturally occurring in terrestrial organisms.

·        Ammonia is used in plant fertilisers as a source of nitrogen and is of low toxicity to terrestrial organisms (OECD 2007b).

·        The substance has a negative log Kow value and therefore, partitioning to the terrestrial compartment is expected to be minimal.
