Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The dissociation constant of morpholinium sulphamate was established to be pKa=8.49 at 25 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

pKa at 20°C:
8.49

Additional information

Morpholinium Sulphamate is the salt of a strong acid (sulphamidic acid CAS 5329-14-6) and a weak base (morpholine CAS 110-91-8). Due to the high difference of the pKa values of the sulphamidic acid (pKa = 1.01) and the protonated morpholine (pKa= 8.49) the dissociation constant for the salt Morpholinium Sulphamate is the same as for morpholine itself.
