Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a test the boiling point of the substance was determined to be 104.7 °C, which can be attributed to the acetic acid present in the substance. In a QSAR based on the chromophore molecule, the boiling point was calculated to be 671°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance is known to decompose in absence of acetic acid. Therefore in the sample tested acetic acid was available. The result of the study (Eurofins 2018) is representing the boiling of acetic acid. The chromophore itself is expected to boil at much higher temperatures.

For this substance it is not possible to set an accurate boiling point due to interference of substance components that cannot be removed without losing the stability of the substance.
