Origin: West-aquarium (Bad Lauterberg)
Date of birth: 12/09/1992
Date of delivery: 26/11/1992
Body length: 2.5-3.5 cm
Pre-test holding: synthethic freshwater according to ISO
Test type:

Nominal / measured:
meas. (arithm. mean)
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Basis for effect:
mortality (fish)
Duration:
96 h
Dose descriptor:
LC100
Effect conc.:
2.84 mg/L
Nominal / measured:
meas. (arithm. mean)
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Basis for effect:
mortality (fish)
Details on results:
The 96-hour geometric mean of the LC0/LC100 was found to be 0.29 mg/l. Following discussion with the German authority for environmental affairs (Umweltbundesamt) the test results were based on the arithmetic mean from the beginning and end of all exposure times. Based on this the LC0/LC100 was calculated to be 2.32 mg/l. This is considered to be equivalent to the LC50. As such the LC50 can be considered to be 2.32 mg/l.

Conclusions:
The 96-hour geometric mean of the LC0/LC100 was found to be 0.29 mg/l. This is considered to be equivalent to the LC50. As such the LC50 can be considered to be 0.29 mg/l.
Executive summary:

A 96 hour acute fish toxicity study was carried out in accordance with EU method C1. Brachydanio rerio were exposed to the test substance at concentrations of 0 (control), 3.9, 5.5, 7.8 and 11 mg/l. A semi-static regime was used and test media was changed every 24 hours. Temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen concentration was measured in new and used media.

Description of key information
