NMDA is regarded as readily biodegradable in water, based on an oxygen consumption of 67% after 28 days. The assessment criteria, which require not less than 60% degradation as determined from oxygen consumption, are met. Biodegradation in soil and sediment are not considered relevant as the substance is not exposed to soil.
