Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Bioconcentration is unlikely to occur (estimated log BCF=0.5).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
3.16 L/kg ww

Additional information

The bioconcentration potential of N,N-dimethylbutylamine was estimated with the BCFBAF program (v3.01) that is part of the EpiSuite (v4.10) software owned by the US EPA. The estimated log BCF = 0.50 (BCF = 3.16 L/kg wet weight). A similar result (log BCF = 0.54 (BCF = 3.44 L/kg wet weight)

was obtained with another US EPA QSAR software (TEST v4.1). It is therefore concluded that the bioconcentration potential of N,N-dimethylbutylamine is low (GUBDH, 2012).
