Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The PBT criteria are not met. The substane is readily biodegradable and does not persist: the log Kow is 0.5, i.e. far below the criterion of LogKow = 4.5. Regarding acute toxicty to fish, the ECOSAR estimate was LC50(96 hr)= 35 mg/L for the free base and approx. 200 mg/L for the neutral molecule. The neutral molecule is considered to be most relevant for long-term considerations, i.e. 200 mg/L should be taken into consideration. This value is 2,000-fold above the short-term aquatic toxicity criterion in the Guidance document R 11, Table R11-4 for "presumably not T".

No classification is proposed that would suggest PBT classification.
