Description of key information

Terrestrial toxicity studies of the test substance are not deemed necessary.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No data are available for the toxicity assessment of the test substance to terrestrial organisms. The substance has a low potential for adsorption to soil particles (log Koc of maximum 1.34), it is biodegradable and it has no bioaccumulative properties (log Kow of -1.13). The results of aquatic tests on all three trophic levels indicate a low hazardous potential of the test substance towards soil organisms. Based on these data, binding to sewage sludge is unlikely and as a consequence a transfer to the soil compartment is not expected. Therefore, the risk to soil organisms is considered negligible and no tests on terrestrial organisms are provided.
