EC number: 268-692-9
CAS number: 68133-60-8
The test substance partly dissociates in the presence of water. Due to the structural properties, hydrolysis of the remaining molecule part is not expected.
The test substance is a salt whose sodium and chlorine atoms dissociate
in presence of water to Na+ and Cl- from the remaining molecule under
environmentally relevant conditions (pH 5 to 9). According to Kollig et
al. (1993), Boethling & Mackay (2000) and Harris (1990) the other part
of the molecule does not contain any functional groups sensitive to
hydrolysis. Therefore, a study on the hydrolysis behavior of the test
substance is not considered necessary.
