A complex combination of hydrocarbons produced by the esterification of phthalic anhydride with tridecyl alcohol. It consists predominantly of C13 primary aliphatic alcohols, C11-13 paraffins and saturated and unsaturated C26 ethers and boiling in the range of approximately 120°C to 280°C (248°F to 536°F).
The registered substance is a UVCB substance consisting of a number of hydrocarbon and oxygenated hydrocarbon components, covering a wide range of carbon numbers and structures, each with their own water solubility value. As such, the generation of a single experimental water solubility value for a UVCB is of limited utility because the environmental risk assessment is performed at the component level. The EPISuite WSKOWWIN QSAR is a reliable and valid QSAR that was used to model water solubility values for relevant components of the substance. The relevant components were determined based on the best available analytical data and process knowledge (see dossier sections 1.2 Composition and 1.4 Analytical methods). Predicted water solubility values for relevant components of the substance are available in the attached file.
