OECD TG 420 and in compliance with GLP, reports an LD50 value of >2000
mg/kg bw (Hameln, 2015). One out of four animals died, and there were
signs of toxicity including lacrimation, reduced activity, lethargy and
mild spasm in hind legs. All animals appeared normal within 48 hours. No
macroscopic findings were noted at necropsy.
Based on the available data, α-methylenebenzyl acetate does not require
classification for acute toxicity according to Regulation (EC) No
