Description of key information
The substance was determined to be 'not highly flammable' upon ignition in a GLP-compliant study performed in accordance with UN-MTC Part III, Section 33 (Test N.1) and EC.A10 guidelines.
In expert statements it was concluded that the substance has no pyrophoric properties and is not highly flammable in contact with water as the substance lacks structural alerts for these properties.
The substance is not a self-heating substance (UN Test N.4).

For flammability upon ignition, the preliminary test was performed, which is essentially the same for the EC A.10 and UN N.1 test.. The test result indicated no need for further testing.
Pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water: Additionally to structural evaluation, assessment was based on experience during handling and use: during the water solubility test the substance was shown to be not reactive with water and generally during handling the substance did not ignite spontaneously when coming into contact with air at normal temperatures.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Justification for non-classification according to the CLP Regulations (EC) No 1272/2008:
As the substance is not flammable upon ignition, classification as a flammable solid is not necessary.
Based on the expert statements, the substance does not have to be classified as a pyrophoric solid or as a substance which in contact with water emits flammable gases.
As the substance was determined to be not self-heating, classification as a self-heating substance is not necessary.
