Reference
Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials

Description of key information

The pigment has no oxidising properties, it does not contain a surplus of oxygen or any structural groups known to be correlated with a tendency to react exothermically with combustible material.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

According to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VII, Section 7.13, Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, for example on the basis of the chemical structure. This pigment does not contain a surplus of oxygen or any structural groups that have a tendency to react exothermally with combustible material.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The pigment does not need to be classified according to CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 since oxidising properties are considered non-relevant based on the chemical structure.
