Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Few gulps of water can be drunk to reduce irritation. Do NOT induce vomiting. Get immediate medical advice/ attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Foam, Dry powder, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Water spray

Specific hazards during fire fighting: Burning may produce toxic and irritant gases.Ammonia, Hydrogen cyanide (hydrocyanic acid), Carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides (NOx)

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear suitable protective clothing.

Specific methods: Cool containers / tanks with water spray.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Avoid exposure. Avoid breathing vapours. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.Use personal protective equipment as required.

Environmental precautions: Should not be released into the environment. Prevent product from entering drains.

Methods for cleaning up: Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust). Shovel into suitable container for disposal. Clean with detergents.

Handling and storage

Handling

Use only in closed systems. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Avoid exposure - obtain special instructions before use. Avoid breathing vapours. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.  Use personal protective equipment as required. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. No smoking.

Storage

Store locked up. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Keep away from combustible material.

Materials to avoid: Oxidizing agents, Acids, Bases, iodine, pyridine, sulphur trioxide, Aluminium, Iron, Copper, natural rubber
