Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on an accepted and validated procedure for assessing oxidising properties on theoretical grounds it is concluded that Dialuminium Titanium Pentaoxide is unlikely to be an oxidising substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Examination of the chemical structure of the substance confirms that it is a metal oxide material. The oxygen atoms are strongly bound to the metal atoms to form a stable chemical structure and do not contribute to the combustion of other materials. This substance is not classified as dangerous for supply or use. It should also be recognised that Dialuminium Titanium Pentaoxide is exposed to vigorous heating conditions without any adverse affect during the industrial production of a ceramic material.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on an accepted and validated procedure for assessing oxidising properties on theoretical grounds it is concluded that Dialuminium Titanium Pentaoxide is unlikely to be an oxidising substance.
