Key result
Water solubility:
< 0 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: dissolved Zr
Details on results:
The determination coefficient (r2) of Zr and Er were both 1.00
Conclusions:
The substance is insoluble (< 0.1 mg/L).The water solubility of both Zr and Er present in the erbium zirconium oxide sample at 20°C was determined to be < 0.00001 g/L. The substance can therefore be considered as insoluble.

Description of key information

The key study concluded that erbium zirconium oxide is insoluble in water. The water solubility of both erbium and zirconium from the sample were determined to be < 0.01 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study from Manabe (2013), performed with the substance erbium zirconium oxide according to OECD guideline 105, reported a water solubility of < 0.01 mg/L at 20°C for both zirconium and erbium. The substance erbium zirconium oxide can therefore be concluded to be insoluble.
